June 3, 2009 PVT Ben Henthorne /Gregg Young hosted tour for students from the Hopland Tribal Pre-School. 9 students 2 parents and 3 members from the Hopland education department attend. Students toured the community garden and were provided a list of all vegetables that are planted . They also got to see 3 pigs and 4 cows that are being raised on same property. Lunch was also provided for the children.
On 5-28-09 Staff planted the community garden for all members of the Potter Valley Tribe. 5 rows of vegetables were planted and there are several rows that will planted with different types of corn.
